The winter's alpine facilities are utilized in the summer by Beitostølens Sommerpark, an activity park with both fun and exhilarating activities for the whole family.

From here, you can also take the chairlift to the top with your bike and try the mountain biking trails at Beitostølen Trail Arena. Here, you'll find mountain biking trails for the whole family, with challenges at all levels. From the seat of your bike you have a fantastic view of the mountains in Valdres and Jotunheimen. The mountain trails around Beitostølen might be Norway's most beautiful mountain biking trails.

Visit the Beitostølen Tourist Office, where the staff is familiar with the local area and can provide you with first-class advice and tips for your vacation in Beitostølen. Here, you can also purchase fishing permits and tickets for boat and bus excursions in Jotunheimen.

Beitostølen is an excellent starting point for a lot of various mountain and summit hikes. The ascent of Bitihorn and the trek across Besseggen are two crowd favourites, but there are hiking opportunities for everyone. The boat M/B Bitihorn takes you between Bygdin, Torfinnsbu, and Eidsbugarden, and is a popular option in the summer months (June to September), and a good starting point for many hikes.

You can try the Via Ferrata up the mountainside of Synshorn: a tour where you are secured with a rope and climb, sometimes quite steeply upwards, using iron rungs hammered into the mountainside. Synshorn Via Ferrata is only accessible with a guide, and the tour takes about 3-4 hours in total.
